Watch the Film
A very special screening tour of the multi award-winning independent documentary The Big Sea accompanied by exclusive Q+A’s and panel discussions.
We’re delighted to join forces with environmental charity Surfers Against Sewage and sustainable wetsuit brand Wallien for a very special UK screening tour. The second leg is kicking off this Autumn supported by media partners Wavelength & Looking Sideways.
Since our world premiere in London November 2024, it’s a privilege to have screened at leading film festivals and cultural gatherings around the globe from the UK and Europe to Australia, USA, Hawaii and South America that have sustainability, ocean related endeavours & story telling at their hearts. We’ve hosted talks, been part of enlightening panels, had game changing conversations and been honoured to receive some 11 awards celebrating the film and the campaign.
We’re adding UK, European and International screening events all the time, so keep checking back.

“Surfing is part of our DNA at SAS, and The Big Sea’s message hit home, hard,” said Pete Lewis, Director of Fundraising at Surfers Against Sewage, who has campaigned with the charity for 15 years. “This is a hugely important documentary linking toxic chemicals to the products that we use to play in the sea, and we are really proud to be playing a part in taking the critical message of this film far and wide to communities up and down the country. For years we have shown that when people come together to campaign, real change can be made. As a surfing and watersports community, we have a real opportunity to drive change within the industry, leading the charge on phasing out Neoprene production.”
“Exposing the devastating environmental impact of Neoprene, The Big Sea is more than a film—it’s a call to action. After speaking with Chris Nelson on a Friday, we stopped production using Neoprene the following Monday. We knew we couldn’t be part of the problem anymore. We had to make a change. That’s why we moved to natural rubber. We have made the clear commitment: by the end of 2025, we will be 100% Neoprene-free. We’re proud to join forces with the award winning documentary filmmakers to support their screening tour and amplify the powerful message of the film and campaign.” Madeleine Wallien & Olivier Wallien, Co-Founders of WALLIEN
